The trip is going to be very fluid. Below is a tentative list with dates about traveling in 2024.
Cruisin' in the Alien Green Kia Soul
My first stop to take a breath and regroup after all the drama of last year and the last 3 weeks in particular.
Going to visit my Brother-in-Law, Dale Ray, at the Great Smokey Mountains. If y'all are interested in history around the Smokey Mountains, this is the man to know.
I've been stationed there 2x. It has changed a lot so I'm going to hang there for a day or two to see what has happened.
Because I love it so and still have great friends there.

There are some beautiful places nearby
My friends have accepted my visit request. It's a 2 day drive to Loreto, Mexico. Then a total of 8 days there and other locations TBD. On April, 2, head north to Huntington Beach to meet my old roomie from decades ago. I haven't seen her in 25 years almost. So Excited!
After a few days in sunny California, I will meander my way back to SD to see my kitties and get a physical. Cause, you know. Why not. After that I head to Seattle to try my first hop on a military sponsored flight. I will have my backpack (weigh less than 30lbs) and my purse. And that will be about it for the next 2 months.

The trip to South Korea did not work out. The flight was overbooked. So off to Thailand. It has been on the list of maybes for a few years and I made it happen. Or it happened to me. While there, I attended a 5 day massage course. Then a 4 day yoga retreat in Chiang Mia before returning to Bangkok and heading to Brunei.
I met two brilliant Aussies named Joshua and Matt. I plan to visit them in Perth. In June.
During Covid, I started an online game and made some amazing friends. I'm hoping to figure out how to visit.
Okay. I made it to Brunei. My host, Angella, was more Angel than I had expected. She saw to it that I had a great time, saw the sites, and ate amazing food.
She arranged a jungle tour, took us (my travel buddy from the jungle joined us - Hi Benny) to see a lot of monkeys and treated us to a traditional Brunei meal of Ambuyat. Go ahead, look it up.
My plans to visit Australia first fell through. My hosts needed more time to prepare for all the fabulousness when I arrive. So I swerved and headed to New Zealand. I landed in Auckland and was greeted by some fabulous SERVAS hosts and taken shopping and given a warm place to sleep and rest while I figured out how to get to Queenstown.
Kinloch, New Zealand. Population 3.
I flew into Queensland and was picked up the next day to head out to Kinloch via Glenorchy. I will be there for a few weeks on a Workaway program. Mostly, I just look cute. Or I wish. There is some hard work involved, but it's not that bad. And It Looks Just Like Utah.
"I can call you Betty, and Betty, you can call me Al".

Get a train ticket from Brighton to Inverness. Why . . why not
Walk the Camino De Santiago from Portugal to Spain. And since I'm there, all the way to the Atlantic.
Plus, it's my birthday month and someone is supposed to join me. Actually, 1/2 dozen people have said they will join me!
My sister wants to join me and we will get a Eurorail pass and wander around. She wants to see Greece. I want to end up in Georgia. It's where I started (US) so might as well end my journey in Georgia (EU).
